Jon's Tree

Jon's Tree is a school-based pilot program that transforms the real-life story of a beloved son, partner, and friend into a composite "Student X" case used to help high-functioning teens recognize risky substance use in themselves and their peers.

Through clinician-guided storytelling, classroom discussion, and clear pathways to confidential support, the program turns grief and hard-earned insight into practical prevention and early-intervention tools for students who might otherwise slip through the cracks.

Over time, Jon's Tree aims to grow from one high school to many, like branches spreading from the tree planted when Jon was born. Its roots symbolize love, resilience, and the lasting impact one life can have on future generations. Through honest, hope-filled education, the program seeks to change the course of young lives before they reach a crisis point.
